UNIVERSITY OF COMPUTER STUDIES (MYITKYINA)

Background History
Computer University (Myitkyina) started opening diploma and postgraduate diploma courses at the office of Red Cross Team in Kachin State on 9th March, 1999 and has been implementing human resource development activities since then. It was promoted and opened as Government Computer College (Myitkyina) from 2000-2001 Academic year. It has been upgraded to Computer University (Myitkyina) since January, 2007 and human resource development activities are being carried out continuously and energetically.

- To promote implementation in human resource development and research areas
- To become as quality driven (international standard) University
- To keep up with international ICT and IT areas
Missions
- To come out citizens with ICT skills in all sorts of fields using computer, computer professionals and entrepreneurs to support the national development activities
- To produce qualified computer professionals who will be able to acquire and do national and international job opportunities in the field of ICT
- To be able to carry out ICT and IT applied research projects (Hardware and Software) at international level
- To increase ICT and computer knowledge among local people in Kachin State
- To be able to promote Computer University (Myitkyina) as an international Level
